1715-A2A is an Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation I/O system redundant adapter base for two 1715-AENTR devices. The 1715-AENTR is a redundant adapter module/Ethernet/IP adapter for the I/O system. The redundant Ethernet adapters are used across the entire system and on a common network that is fault-tolerant. A network like this is resilient and it can be used without any additional hardware components.
